Novice C Bearcats to participate in the NHL Alumni game in Belleville

The NHL Alumni team will be facing the Law Enforcement team on Feb 21 at the Yardmen arena. Our Novice C Bearcats will have a chance to meet the Alumni prior to the game, in addition to playing against them during the 1st and 2nd intermissions. Go Bearcats!
Hockey legends and local Law Enforcement All-stars turn up the heat as they prepare for the NHL Alumni Tour, presented by Scotiabank, to raise money for Special Olympics Ontario. This exciting and entertaining game will feature hockey greats including Rick Vaive, Dave Reid, and Jack Valiquette as they challenge members of the local Law Enforcement team to the on-ice hockey game of their lives.
This entertaining game for the whole family includes an exciting skills competition, hilarious on-ice gags and some of the most highly profiled former players in the NHL. The game takes place on Sunday, February 21, at 2pm at the Quinte Sports Centre. The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (www.ontario.torchrun.org) is a community based, province-wide event that sees the "Flame of Hope" being carried right across Ontario by members of the Law Enforcement from communities right across the province. The objective of this and other events is to raise funds for and awareness of the Special Olympics movement in Ontario.
The NHL Alumni (www.nhlalumni.net) is a non-profit organization, which serves as a liaison for 28 local alumni groups. The Association has adopted the motto of "Hockey's Greatest Family", providing programs and assistance for all retired NHL players, including career transition with the Life After Hockey Program.

House League Registration
While we prefer all registration be done online, we will be accepting House League Registration at the Quinte Mall on Sept 10th 5-9PM and Sept 11th 10-3PM
Please be advised that benefits of membership within the Ontario Women's Hockey Association include insurance coverage as outlined in the Hockey Canada booklet "Safety Requires Teamwork", located on our website under “Forms and Policies”. OWHA members are covered ONLY during Hockey Canada / OWHA sanctioned events (league games, tournaments, practices, training camps, sanctioned fundraisers) when playing member teams only. The OWHA has NOT sanctioned any tournaments in the months of June, July or August 2010. The OWHA does NOT support participation in non-sanctioned events.
