BEARCATS WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE OUR NOVICE B REP COACH - MARCIE O'SHEA

THE BELLEVILLE BEARCATS WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE OUR NEW NOVICE B REP COACH -  MARCIE O'SHEA




Bio: Currently resides in Stirling with her husband Jamie and two children Gracie and Galen. Spent most of her childhood in the Quinte Area, living in Madoc.  Attended Centre Hastings Secondary School and played numerous school sports. 

Attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island on an academic/athletic scholarship playing NCAA Division 1 Ice Hockey and Fast Pitch. 

Fast Pitch:
·         Won Ivy League Championship in Fast Pitch 
·         Was an Ivy League All-Star in Fast Pitch with a Nation Leading batting average
·         Provincial and National Championship with Oshawa 
·         All-star second base in National tourney 
·         Played on Team Canada placing 5th at the Worlds in 1995 

Other Sports: 
·         Represented our country 4 times in 3 different sports 
.         Roller hockey – silver medalist in 1993 
.         Fast Pitch 
.         Master Ball Hockey – 2 time world champion 2014 and 2016

Ice Hockey: 
·         Won both the Ivy League and ECAC Championship in during my 4 year tender. 
·         Played on Team Ontario where we were Winter Games Champion 
·         Was a Provincial Champion with Kingston Kodiaks 
·         Played in the CWHL for the Toronto Aeros where we were both Provincial and National Champion. 
·         Was a Provincial Champion with the Bearcat Senior A team   

Received Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brown in 1999 and a Bachelor of Education from Queens in 2001. Employed by Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board since 2002 and currently teaching at Stirling Public School.

Marcie is very excited about this new challenge and can't wait to get on the ice with our youngest Bearcats.
