Belleville Bearcats are very proud to Introduce their Rep Coaches for the 2019-20 Season

Belleville Bearcats 2019-20 Midget AA Coach: Kelly Sage

As a player, Kelly has been a member of several winning teams.
Her resume includes 2 Zone championships and 2 OMHA championships with the Stirling Blues.
She has medaled at 4 provincial championships, with 3 gold medals and 1 silver while playing in the OWHA.
Kelly was a member of under 18 team Ontario on 2 occasions, winning a gold and silver at Nationals.
Kelly joined the CWHL and in her first year was Rookie of the year.
While playing with the Toronto Aeros, she attended Nationals twice, bringing home a Gold and Silver.
Kelly played her university career at St. Lawrence University, where she finished her career as MVP of the team.

When Kelly returned to the area, she started coaching with the Belleville Bearcats. She spent 5 years coaching with Belleville, winning a silver at provincials, before leaving to coach in Stirling.
Kelly has taken a few years off to start her family, but is excited and eager to be behind the bench, challenging her elite athletes to take their game to the next level.

Belleville Bearcats 2019-20 Bantam AA Coach: Clint Cochrane

Clint Cochrane has three daughters playing in the Bearcats system.   He has volunteered as both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach.     Clint has helped teams win Provincial and Lower Lakes gold and silver medals as well as an International Silver Stick championship.

As a former junior hockey player, Clint brings a plethora of knowledge to the Bantam AA team.

Belleville Bearcats 2019-20 Pee Wee AA Coach: John Hoskin

I'm grateful and fortunate to have been chosen to coach the Peewee AA Belleville Bearcats next season.

I'm thrilled to be able to announce that Jason LaPalm, Taegan Rogers and Sara Kennedy will be joining me, giving the team a full non-parent coaching staff.

Jason is a Masterclass power-skating coach and a driving force at Go2TheMax Hockey.  He has helped coach teams that won Gold and Silver medals at both Provincials and Lower Lakes as well as an International Silver Stick Championship.  Jason has donated hundreds of hours to the youth of the Quinte area.

Taegan is a former Bearcat and an absolutely wonderful human being.  I was fortunate to be Taegan's coach when she played Bantam Bearcats.  She has a deep knowledge of the game.  Taegan will be working primarily with our forwards.  She will be an energetic, insightful, positive role model for the young ladies on the PWAA team next year.

Sara is also a former Bearcat and a woman that inspires every young lady that she meets.    She is one of the most positive people I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with.  I was fortunate to coach Sara as a Midget Bearcat.  She will be working with our goaltenders, passing on her incredible experiences and knowledge.   Sara will be an intelligent, athletic, positive role model for the players next season.

Thank you to the Bearcats for giving me (and these great coaches) this opportunity.

If you have questions about the tryout process or the team next year do not hesitate to contact me.

-- John

His coaching philosophy is to build confidence within each young ladie in an exciting team environment.

His goal is to provide each female athlete the opportunity to build a proper hockey foundation that will prepare them to play hockey at an elite level.
