U18AA Game Brings High Profile Visitors
The Belleville U18AA Bearcats will play against Bourget Academy from Quebec this Sunday 4:30 - 6pm at Mackay and with it brings a couple of special guests. 

Coaches Melodie Daoust and Hanna Bunton, a Belleville native, will be behind the bench for the Academy team as they take on the local Bearcats team.

Both coaches have played for Team Canada at various levels through the years and had very successful collegiate and professional careers. Both have had an amazing impact on the game and continue to be close to the sport through coaching, hockey schools and positions within the hockey community.

Both women have an incredible resume and are willing to sign autographs before the game for young aspiring female hockey players and fans alike. There will be a table setup outside of Mackay pad with both women signing autographs from 3:30-4pm.

Melodie Daoust: Has won two Olympic gold medals and one silver with Team Canada. Melodie was MVP of the 2018 Olympics, she also won 2021 MVP at the World Championships and took home top forward to name a few of her many accomplishments. 

Hanna Bunton: Is a Bearcat Alumni who won a gold medal for Team Canada at the U18 Worlds where she was named one of the top three players by the IIHF. She also played for team Canada at the U22 level. Hanna played collegiate hockey at Cornell and was NCAA Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2014 and Ivy League player of the year in 2017, and a two time scoring champ, all while earning a Bachelor of Science degree.
