Double Win in Stone Mills
The Build All Senior Bearcats win twice in Monday Night double header in Stone Mills.
The Build All Senior Bearcats squared off with the Stone Mills Sharks and the Stone Mills 99ers Monday night in a double header at the Tamworth Recreation Centre.
In Game One, they defeated the Stone Mills Sharks 6-2. Sam Carey scored twice, Sarah Hardie recorded her first goal as a Bearcat, while the line of Rachel Cole, Emma Dever and Hailey Robinson each added a tally. Assists went to: Erin Cassibo (2), Amanda Furmidge (2), Steph Burridge, Halie Bradley, Tynika Williams, Hailey Snider, Sam Ward, Dever and Robinson. Maddy Rowbotham recorded the win.
In Game Two, they defeated the Stone Mills 99ers with a minute-forty left on the clock when Erin Cassibo tipped a Sam Carey shot from the point. Earlier, Sam Ward squeaked an unassisted goal passed the Stone Mills keeper. Madddy Rowbotham turned in another excellent performance, saving 27 of 28 Stone Mills shots. This moves Rowbotham to 5 - 1 - 0 on the season with an impressive 1.5 GAA and a 0.922 Save%.
The Build All Bearcats are in Cobourg this weekend, participating in their first tournament of the year, the Halloween Havoc Tournament; beginning Thursday Night at 9pm, when they take on the host West Northumberland Wild.
