Weekend Update
The Build All Seniors face off twice this weekend against two strong opponents.
Saturday night, the seniors tied the Peterborough Ice Kats 2-2 in a redemption match, after losing to them earlier in the season 4-0. It was an evenly-paced game which saw Sydney Ward bury home the puck, passed the Peterborough goalie with a hard-fought assist from Sam Ward. Samm Fry scored to tie it up 2-2 with assists going to Hailey Snider and Tynika Williams. Carina McEwen was strong in net, stopping 29 of 31 Peterborough shots.
Sunday, the Seniors played a friendly against the RCAF Flyers Women's Team, based out of CFB Trenton. They were defeated 2-0. Maddy Rowbotham was stellar in net, stopping 34 of 36 shots. The Bearcats face the Flyers again on January 14th for the 2nd of their scheduled friendlies. The Senior Bearcats also wish the Flyers the best as they compete in their Military Regionals hosted in Trenton the week of January 15-18.
